About test

Curt is an NRA certified firearms instructor, and has been a competitive shooter all his adult life. When the need arose, and he couldn't find the grips he needed or wanted for his purposes, he began making them himself, to satisfy and meet his needs and personal tastes. Soon, he began filling requests for other shooters, as their needs and personal tastes dictated.

He uses exotic hardwoods in many different styles and designs. And, if you see a design in the collection here that you like if you see a design in the collection here that you like, and you would prefer different woods in that design, let him know, and he will do everything he can to accommodate and satisfy your preference. You can see an overview of the different woods in the "Available Wood" section. However, the compilations of designs 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 11 & 12 cannot be altered.

The venerable 1911 pistol is a functional work of art, and should be "dressed to the nines", whether you're a competitor, a weekend shooter, or carry one every day in a working environment.

Each pair of grips are cut from the specific source, then hand shaped and fitted. The compilation designs, such as the checkerboards, etc. are much more labor intensive, and take much longer to cut, assemble and complete. Because all these grips are handmade.....one pair at a time, please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.

You will notice that some of the grips shown here, cover the mainspring housing pin, and are square across the bottom, giving the grip a cleaner look, and I think, a fuller, better feeling grip. However, if you prefer the pin exposed, and/or the bottom of the grip panels angled up, I can do that as well. I just need to know your preference.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the e-mail listed or, give me a call. I'll be more than happy to talk with you personally (provided I'm not up on the Tennessee River, crappie or sauger fishing, or at the range, getting in some trigger time!).
